Brush Transformers and Switchgears are part of the Brush group who are a renowned OEM for Turbogenerators, Transformers, Switchgears and Power Management Systems.
Brush Transformers bring over 125 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of power transformers. They manufacture power transformers up to 132kv 160MVA. All Brush Transformers are highly efficient and are based on the European Union Eco-design Directive.
The transformers are capable of using different cooling media including Midel and FR3 for environmentally sensitive or urban sites. They produce little noise due to the core build technology and possess variable fan speed options. The design is Partial discharge free through an optimized insulation structure that extends operational lifespan. Condition Monitoring can be done via fibre optic temperature sensors & gas detection systems for safety.
The compact design of Brush transformers reduces substation footprint and total project cost. Cooling methods ranging from naturally cooled to directed-oil via pumps and forced-air via fans.
Tap changing can be done by On-Load (bolt-on or in-tank) or Off-Circuit switching devices. Remote Tap changer Control Panels can also be provided.
Brush Transformers come with protection devices such as winding & liquid temperature indicators, pressure relief valves, oil level gauges. All can be supplied with alarms and trips in accordance with client specifications.
Brush Manufactures a range of indoor and outdoor switchgears for both AC and DC systems. The product range comprises fixed-pattern, air insulated metalclad panels with vacuum circuit breaker technology and a range of OEM designed retrofit products, enabling the removal of oil and SF6 circuit breakers from their legacy products. The current voltage range is 3.3-15kV with standards meeting IEC and ANSI requirements.
The BRUSH AC Switchgear outdoor range comprises the Horizon product range to meet the need for outdoor, ground-mounted circuit breakers, and our well established GVR product range, where highly-reliable Reclosers and Sectionalisers are required. These products are available in a voltage range of 15kV – 38kV with standards meeting the IEC and ANSI requirements.
